Responsibilities: |
Development of marketing plans and selling materials to drive growth on our business.
Conduct research as needed to identify consumer needs and understand competitive set. Develop and execute
marketing programs to drive trial, repeat purchase, and increase purchase frequency. Work with Sales to
monitor customer development, and modify programs as needed to achieve sales targets. Recommend and
gain agreement for product mix, pricing, and packaging design. Recommend, track, and forecast marketing
spending.
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable regarding the CPG industry and have an understanding of the
grocery/mass channels of trade within the US. Ability to review marketplace opportunities and to assist in
developing plans that drive sales are critical. Strong communication skillsboth verbal and writtenare
needed. Successful candidate will demonstrate passion for business development and for getting things done.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the assessment and analysis of distribution opportunities within the U.S. (work with Sales, research
providers, syndicated and qualitative data)
- Recommend 4 Ps of marketing plans (trade and consumer programs) to achieve sales targetsproduct mix
and pricing, on- and off-shelf merchandising, promotional programs
- Work with agencies, as needed, to execute and evaluate program success; recommend modifications as necessary
- Work with graphics and agencies to ensure appropriate packaging design translations, website support
- Create and provide selling materials as needed for customer presentations and program execution
- Assist in overall P&L management for US business unit
Working Relationships
- Reports to VP of Sales & Marketing
- 5 Direct Reports (Associate Marketing Manager, Packaging Engineer, Consumer Insights Manager, Web Master,
Internal Graphic Department)
- Ongoing relationship with Sales Director as well as routine interaction with ALL internal functions

Knowledge and Related Experience
- Bachelors degree in business. MBA Preferred. 10 years of Marketing experience in CPG.
- Computer literacy required for Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong team player with demonstrated capabilities in problem solving, detail orientation and execution,
communication, and analysis
- An excellent communicator (written, verbal and presentation skills) with emphasis on attention to detail as well as
a constant desire for user feedback
- Track record of successful, innovative campaigns and approach focused on client solution selling
- Confident and comfortable when working with senior management, internal customers and clients
- Proven project and initiative execution with product management and marketing
- Strong sense of ownership and follow through
