Responsibilities: |
Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for strategy, analysis/monitoring/follow-up of 4Ps (product assortment, pricing, promotion and placement), new product introductions and planning on a Brand level across all Customers. They support the planning process for assigned businesses, linking Headquarter strategies/objectives to field sales.
Responsibilities:
o Partner with Brand Management organization to build business plans for assigned brands
o Actively participate in the development of business plans
o Champion new product/Line extension market entry and execution. Includes development of sales presentation/materials and tracking/analyzing 4Ps in-market implementation
o Work with cross functional teams to asses key learnings, issues and opportunities
o Provide sales insights to develop strategies and plans to address key issues. This would include ROI analysis, optimal promotional frequencies, pricing gaps, customer leakage, assortment, etc.
o Act as brand participant in customer business planning process
o Work with customer planners to ensure brand business plans, category objectives, priorities and strategies are being effectively translated into customer business plans
o Gather and understand Consumer and Channel/Customer insights through research.
o Use data gathered through research/analysis to develop all content needed for upcoming planning year to be delivered at National Sales Meeting. Includes All Selling Stories and National Guidelines detailing pricing, promotional, assortment and shelving principles
o Lead bi-annual brand 4Ps planning and review process by understanding business objectives and translating them into a 4Ps roadmap for Sales execution.
o Evaluate and communicate to customer planners brand business plans with particular emphasis on establishing guidelines and priorities for assortment, pricing, shelving, and consumer promotion
o Recommend efficient and effective pricing and promotion strategies in accordance with brand success models.
o Build 4Ps gap analysis and work with Sales to develop/agree clear, specific plans for corrective action.
o Help develop national promotional programs/key events. |

Experience: |
o Bachelors degree required
o 5-7 years of business experience in sales, marketing or related functions
o Proficient in Ac Nielsen, Price and Promotion and Assortman tools
o Ability to attain/retain knowledge of company products, sales and marketing procedures and policies
o Highly developed analytical skills
o Must be accurate and attentive to detail
o Must have strong interpersonal skills, and be able to effectively communicate with others.
o Ability to work effectively with internal cross-functional teams (e.g., Field Sales, Trade Marketing, Customer Sales Planning, Global Forecasting, and Marketing)
o Retail customer experience desirable
o Should have knowledge of trade deals, programming and trade spending as well as experience with a broad base of retail customers
o Must be able to manage in a highly charged environment and have ability to multi-task.
o Strong organizational skills
